10 Stylish Airbnbs Perfect for an LA Winter Retreat

Whether you’re looking for a weekend getaway, a ski trip, or a winter bachelorette bash, there’s no short supply of amazing rental properties just a quick road trip outside of Los Angeles. The most popular towns for city dwellers to get their winter fix are nearby places such as Big Bear Lake, Lake Arrowhead, Idyllwild, Running Springs, Mt Baldy, and Wrightwood. These charming snow-filled forest escapes will give you that much needed breath of fresh air, star-filled skies, and an excuse to break out your rarely worn long underwear and snow suits (even if it’s just for a posed instagram photo).

Since I had a February wedding (back in 2020 — mere days before the city shut down), I knew I wanted to take advantage of the time of year and have a winter themed Bachelorette weekend with some of my best friends up in Big Bear. So I have had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful farmhouse and I cannot say enough good things about it! This stunning house is furnished with well-curated antiques for a stylish interior. It is also located right against the mountainside so you feel secluded and surrounded by beautiful nature. The amenities are endless with a wrap around indoor porch, a hammock, a yoga room, indoor fire place, bbq, and much more.
