Popcorn Seasoning DIY & Printable
It's award season in the movie biz, and if you're anything like me, you have a lot to catch up on from 2017! My boyfriend Daniel is a huge movie buff with an extensive Blu-ray collection, so it is safe to say that movie watching is a major pastime in our relationship. Since I do not DARE to buy Daniel any Blu-ray gifts (I wouldn't even know where to begin picking out something he doesn't already own), I have to get creative with my cinema-themed presents. So for Christmas in 2016 I got him a Cuisinart Professional Popcorn Maker to create the ultimate movie theater experience in our own little apartment! We always have so much fun planning out movie nights, inviting our friends over, and popping a big bowl of popcorn! One idea I had that I thought would make our movie nights even more fun, is if our guests could customize their own snack with a choice of popcorn seasoning. Here are the recipes for the three combinations that we offered at our last movie night:
Churro Popcorn Seasoning
3 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp salt
Nacho Popcorn Seasoning
1/4 cup cheddar cheese powder
1/4 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
BBQ Popcorn Seasoning
1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 Tbsp smoked paprika
1/2 Tbsp chili powder
1/2 Tbsp salt
To make these cute seasoning mixes, I simply combined the ingredients above into a small mason jar (I bought mine from Michaels, but you can buy in bulk on Amazon too) and gave the jar a good shake. I labeled the jars with stickers and left them out on my coffee table for our guests to help themselves throughout the movie.
If you're interested in creating your own mason jar labels, I used the Avery 22807 2" Glossy White Round Stickers. You can find them on Amazon here. Avery has all of their label templates online available for download to create your own design on Word, Photoshop or Illustrator. This popcorn seasoning set would make a perfect gift for the movie lover in your life too! (Valentine's gift, maybe?) I included several stickers on the printable sheet above so that you can make a few sets to give away, but trust me you're going to want to keep one for yourself too!
